Totally agree about the light, that has always been a hard spot for me. For some reason I am always kind of afraid to mess with it, but i am working on getting the idea of color and reflected light down. Do you think the face looks like yours? I was a bit lazy with the reference after I got the shapes down, so it might be a bit off. I saw your most recent face portrait and have a mind to do a portrait of it, but well, it seems weird to do two of the same person...

I love how you didn't just recreate the image, but worked it into a new one. It shows both creativity and skill. ^^
really nice work with the hands. They're well-drawn with good shading, even for a photo I know didn't have a lot of deep shadows.
If I could make any suggestion (and really, it's not necessary, like, at all) it might be to experiment with coloured lighting or shadows. The light right now is pure white, and maybe that was intentional, but maybe try some reflected colour from the dress onto her skin? That would only be if you felt like still working on it. As is, it's very nice.
