Art Request by my student, Nemnem
*takes deep breathe*
I hope these two guys don't need introduction. If they do it means i failed beyond all reason...! Bwah, the anatomy is not impressive... nor are their poses... and they don't even look LIKE who they're supposed to be... heck, even the 'effects' or whatever you call them is lame... i saw some artworks that do cool effects, too bad it didn't work out for me...
Actually, this is the reason why i usually shun from doing fanarts of the Masters... fans around the world can easily see what is WRONG with them... *eats my own hand*
The idea of the police and the soldier came from what i knew of the tension between these two forces in my country.
Because the military was directly under the Sultan's order, their superiority were a notch higher than the police eventhough they possess the same ranks.
Also, the machine gun symbolizes a greater power compared to the handgun. Sounds familiar, eh?
So much for ideas...

I'm no professional art critic.. so i wouldn't know.
All I know is.. my eyes are just a "little bit" above the average standards.. so... I AIN'T NO PRO! xD

unless you're the type who hates criticism... then that's a different matter.. (i never get those people... but it's personal, i guess)

It depends. Sometimes, if you take a break, you'll realize what went wrong with ur drawing.
As for only looking, it also depends on whether you scrutinize carefully how it's done. I've ogled tonnes of artworks, but i find i can only improve after i dutifully note and observe how the artist did it, and then try to emulate it.
Nah, in fact... i welcome criticism. it's the only way to improve faster. but i know of some who just hates to be critiqued...

I thought your intention to make this drawing was because it was a funny idea and yes it is a funny idea; sasuke and naruto killing each other with guns

That's why we draw and draw until we could get as close as we could to the original. ^^v

i suppose it does sound funny... but those two did try to kill each other before... lol, good point.
my student loved Naruto and requested for these two in a fight, and since I dunno, my own style is sorta different... the fanart turned out not as i expected... but then of course, as you said... we have to practice a lot, and well, this is my first time drawing them as a fanart.
gosh, sorry for spewing nonsense... i tend to do that sometimes.

Yeah, it's also difficult for me to draw naruto characters since their 'drawing style' is kinda different from the usual pretty anime style. Drawing shoujo characters are waaay easier to do.

yep. That's why they are way easier to drawn and also easier for people to be impressed by it. Like those Cardcaptor Sakura and Clamp-like drawings, people always swoon over them.
Unlike the character design in Naruto. At first, I didn't like how short the women's legs are and the design lacks luster (anime ver.). But after some time, it kinda grew on me that the art style kinda unique and cool
