This is an outstanding picture - very well-posed and very well-shot!!!!! (I've intended to leave a comment ever since I favorited it the day you posted it 5 months ago, but I'm just now getting around to it.)
The tight cropping of this picture works quite well - and you captured a nice close-up of this beautiful and talented young lady (but not too close or too far away). Nice, warm color in the picture, and a clear image that is just soft enough without becoming too blurry. And that works quite well for this picture; had the image been extremely sharp, it wouldn't have worked as well. Great use of natural and artificial light (or was it all natural light?), which draws us to Cat as the subject and focus of the viewer's attention. Nice setting, too; it works perfectly here.
Some of the shots from this shoot from a little over 3 years ago are more direct, "look at the camera" portrait shots. But this shot and "Waiting" (from the same series) invite the viewer to imagine a story - and offer the viewer a glimpse into someone else's life. And Cat does a great job with her poses and facial expression (aided and abetted by her great natural inner and outer beauty and the angle and distance of shot) to create that mood and to invite repeated viewing of the picture - and reflection on and thought about what the backstory might be. (Heck, I was so intrigued with this picture that I went to your gallery to see what other work was in her sub-gallery; so you made me think, anyway.)
And she and you do this with class and grace and elegance, and without a trace of cheap, tawdry narcissism or crass exhibitionism or exploitation about the pictures. And the same goes for all of the other pictures from this shoot that you have posted - whether her mode of dress is just this white blouse or the blouse combined with a colorful corset, whether with or without the glasses. These are truly artistic photographs.
Congratulations to both you and Cat on a superb collaboration from those thrilling days of yesteryear, one of which you both can be justly proud. Lots of talents and skills and hard work and professionalism (and mutual trust and respect) are on display on both sides of the camera in this picture. Keep up the great work - and thank you very much for sharing this gem, and so many others, with all of us on deviantArt!!!!!!
