This is a great pic. Because Steven Universe is the 21st century's Wizard of Oz!

I mean think about it.
1) There's an upbeat optimistic child in the lead (Steven/Dorothy).
2) Said child has three fantastic companions with varying levels of self-esteem issues (Garnet/Tinman, Amethyst/Lion, Pearl/Scarecrow).
3) There are three human counterparts to the fantasy companions (the Cool Kids/Dorothy's farm hands).
4) It's set in one of the most boring places in America (Delmarva Peninsula/Kansas).
5) There's lots of jewelry (Gems/Emerald cities).
Just like The Wizard of Oz was last century's greatest American fairytale, this century's greatest American fairytale is Steven Universe.

Interesting thought! (Though one could also make the argument that Star Wars is like that too. I'm actually trying to write a crossover between Star Wars and Steven universe in fact, and I think they could mix pretty well.)

Actual Lee, I think Garnet would be more suited for the Scarecrow and Pearl would be the Tin Man.
