Absolutely amazing work on this. I really love how the eyes come out. They look like they were done in such a simple fashion and yet really draw in mine with their own details. The individual strands of hair, especially the ones intertwined (is that the correct term...?) parallel to her eyes are also beautifully done.

And now I am trying to watercolour it, but am having a hard time staying motivated. Ah well. C'est la Vie.

I know exactly how you feel as I find it difficult coming back to a piece months later, especially if I feel I've improved 9even slightly) since I originally started on it. It's also the same for concepts I keep re-drawing if I feel I didn't get it right first time, usually killing my enthusiasm for the concept.

Oh, heh... I just mean that the scanned version here looks like garbage compared to the actual art on paper that I can hold in my hands. Yellow-eye? I am offended for him!
As to other art, if you're hoping for more Ana, I am sorry to disappoint. This was a sort of one shot deal for her as I'm not all that captivated by her at present. That could change though. Maybe. Β

She IS a red head, actually!
You know... maybe what I need to do to get into drawing your characters is to draw them this way first as a reference in order to "get to know them better"? It would certainly help me figure out how to convey Ben/Sebastian in my style better before I go and toss him into an interaction piece. Hmmm... time to ponder.

Yeah, I had to darken it a bit with CS2, otherwise it looks washed out. Not certain yet how to coax my scanner into giving me more lifelike quality.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. It's always appreciated.

*gasp* she's beautiful! And I love how much expression and character she has in her face, oh, it's fantastic, she looks kind of curious but also a little peeved

She looks like a very interesting character, have you drawn her before?

No, never. She's a character in a writing project that I started this summer. TheΒ poor dear had quite the traumatic background. Β

A few, but not enough to ruin my enjoyment. No worries there.
