Description Lame-ass title is lame-ass. :m

*ahem* Here's a simple drawing of Baby Waluigi in all his.....purplenessmess. :V I felt like messing around with Copics again to see if I was still decent with them. Decent, yes; Good.....no. TT w TT

SUM XTRA INFO:
This was drawn back in Nov. 2015 and colored some time this year; can't exactly remember when.

Originally, Baby Waluigi was suppose to have nothing on (except the diaper, or course). I wanted to practice coloring/shading skin tones and hair with Copic Markers. The pic was intended just for study, and not to be made into a full image. However, the drawing, itself, turned out slightly better than I thought it would, so I decided to add the t-shirt, and make it into a complete image.

ARTIST COMPLAINT
Not too fond of the way his left arm and sleeve turned out. :/

But yeah...that's about all I can say about this pic. Enjoy. where's that Mixed Media option, dA?!?!.

Sketched With a 2H Raffine Sketch Pencil; Inked With Faber-Castell Black Artist Pens; Colored With Copic Sketch Markers; Background Edit in CLIP STUDIO PAINT.

I liked using Copics, still have some of mine C: and they are fun and require practice. I have the same issue with blending skin tone and hair, but I have found out that if you do the hair with markers you can shade with pencil on top as you go, giving it depth and structure.

I like how you draw feet on babies :3 always have, always will! ^^ and the pose is like he wants to reach out and have some thing but..not too sure XD great work on the shading and bg looks pretty nice! I have tried GIMP for bg's, it's an alright program but I haven't done anything worth uploading that has a digital mixed media style bg in ages! >w<

ikr, where is that mixed media option dA? :V amongst other things too...

Awesome work on the pose too, he looks very dedicated in what he's doing! :>

Funny thing is, I actually got inspired by you to use Copic Markers. I remember reading a journal you wrote a while ago, saying you wanted to buy some. I really didn't know what they were, until I started researching up on them, and viewing artwork done in Copics.
That's an interesting idea to do for shading/detailing hair. I'll have to use that the next time I color with Copic Markers.

Awww! ^w^ You wouldn't believe how much I still struggle with drawing human feet. It wasn't until late 2014 when I learned that the big toes are always on the inner part of the feet.
Lol, Baby Waluigi isn't entirely sure if he really wants that unknown object or not; he's making little to no effort to reach for it.

It definitely is hard trying to make a traditionally colored piece work in harmony with a digitally-made background. '___'
As beautiful as your artwork is, drawing AND coloring-wise, I believe they'll definitely work in harmony with digital mixed media!
Clip Studio Paint Pro (or Manga Studio) seems to work really well with incorporating a background with traditional media.

dA needs to realize there are some of us who use both traditional and digital tools in our artwork. >____>

Thank you, too, hun! It's always a pleasure receiving comments from you!

Awwww! I always like trying new things, especially when it comes to materials, techniques and paper! I love hoarding pencils even though I have so many tubs, pencil cases and packs of different brands. So yeah, my knowledge of Copic markers comes from highschool and that was many many years ago but recently within the past few years my friend (who originally introduced me to Deviantart) showed me her work with Copics, she said they were so easy to use and I can guarantee you that markers aren't for everyone but I loved how easy they are to blend so I had to go and buy a few for myself to test.

Actually, reading your ID part on your page and how you said you don't use Crayola's anymore.... Yes, I agree but I have old Crayola pencils from 10+ years ago and they are much better quality than the ones you can buy now that's for sure... Actually, I put this to the test...using normal printing paper, my old crayola pencils and a biro pen and then the test with newer 2015 made crayola pencils... oh boy the difference was there alright! :m Not much to do with the paper quality, but as I said before "The paper is mightier than the pen" is true and I will always stick to that on many ways than one. Nothing wrong with printer paper, but you can pretty much achieve anything on ANY paper that's what I meant C:

Tools of he trade for me these days is pretty much anything and everything, I mainly use Copics, Prisma and Faber Castell depending on what paper I am working on...it just comes down to preference and what you feel most comfortable with I guess

Digital mixed media is always fun cause you can muck around with visuals and get the feel for what you want, it's very hard to recreate stuff like water, grass or something simple with pencils (I am trying to mix all my traditional bits together to recreate some thing like underwater but like the frog suit Luigi I did a while back, shit like that you can't really do with just pencils...maybe watercolour pencils but even that is a challenge for me atm) XD

Remeber this one? :3 that's what I meant...what an ass to do though lol.

Every artist is different and has a different way of seeing what they want to achieve in their work, but one thing we all have in common is the "feel" you place in to the piece, that's whats most important!

I love talking to you! if only distance wasn't the issue I'd march my ass over and we could draw all of the things! :>

He can't seem to get the hang of how to handle a human hand. :V
Yes, he'll definitely need a hug for some motivation.

Lol, I've always imagined Baby Waluigi having soft, scruffy hair under that oversized hat of his.
I'd bet he would love to be hugged and cuddled; at least he'll know he's loved. ^____^

He's a small little guy, indeed. But when standing next to Baby Mario or Baby Luigi, he'll definitely be much taller than them.

Very cute ^^ Nintendo obviously doesn't care about Waluigi, since he never has had his own game. It really is sad, he's an interesting character. His baby self looks cute. I wonder what kind of trouble he'd give Yoshi

Thank you!
Sadly, they don't. Sakuari definitely made that clear when Waluigi was announced as an Assist Trophy, again, for Smash 4. TT~TT (and the comment he made towards the Waluigi Fans (me being one) made me lose a lot of respect for him).
He's got a really big fanbase now...so I would've assumed Nintendo would've, at least, given us one game with Waluigi as the main character.
Lol, I can see Baby Waluigi being that guy that likes to play with dangerous explosive while riding on the back of Yoshi.

Clearly he never saw Project M, that was proof Waluigi could be a fighter. I lost respect for him after he didn't put an adventure mode in Smash 4 and allowed Bayonetta into the game when he previously stated he didn't want her in it. Nintendo is starting to lose its edge, Miyamoto hates anything new and thinks games are better without story. Lol yeah, or a Piranha Plant in a flower pot.
