"...From Another Mother."

  I can't get enough of these 2 chubby fucks. =w= Despite only appearing in one game each (not counting the upcoming Thousand Year Door HD Remake ), I love how polar opposite their personalities are. When you first encounter Tubba Blubba in Paper Mario (N64), he seems evil, but in the end, he's actually a really nice, misunderstood guy. Whereas when you first encounter Grubba in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, he seems like a nice guy (albeit, a little arrogant), but in the end, he's actually an evil, remorseless bastard.
So, of course, I wanted to implement those personalities into their characters a bit more, in my little fan series.

  Tubba is generally nice (still a bit of a crybaby); gets along with practically everyone (even Mario, despite their turbulent first encounter), and absolutely adores his older cousin, Grubba (yes, they're cousins, in my fan-series. Somewhere down their bloodline, two of their family members are siblings). He still fears Boos and the dark. However, if the Boo(s) is nice to him, he'll put his fears aside and befriend said-friendly ghost(s).

  Grubba, on the other hand, is an overall mean, spiteful, ill-tempered fella with a VERY short fuse. He's easily angered and is quick to rage over the smallest things. He hates practically EVERYONE (except for a certain purple plumber who can break through his hateful heart); most of his deep-seated hatred is directed towards Mario. He's reluctant to partake in any social gatherings due to his distaste for being around everyone. Despite Tubba's love for Grubba, Grubba does not give the same affection back towards Tubba.

I don't know how to make a smooth transition from here, so umm......yeah........another pic with a star-themed background. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Finished this within 5 days as a means to practice blending/shading with some of the pencil tools in Clip Studio.

The jagged speech bubble over Grubba is the "Bad Chemistry" icon from Mario Superstar Baseball.

The white outline around the characters was inspired by the TTYD HD Remake's new art style. I wasn't planning on coloring this piece in that new style, but I wanted to add some kind of "boarder" around the characters.....so, I just went with that.

Eeh, guess that's it, enjoy.
