In the 24th century, humanity and the United World’s Alliance would face almost utter annihilation against a significant and potent threat. The Itrean clans would launch raids that would devastate the United Human Naval space fleets, and it was a matter of time before the end was approaching.

Thankfully things seemed to improve. One of the clans named the T’rintar clan has made peace with humanity. There were numerous reasons for this alliance, and surprisingly it came down to a myriad of reasons. One reason is all too obvious and it is making waves through the entire UWA.

The biggest threat to all Itreans was the devastating Zilik’s Disease. This manufactured sickness was designed to kill off all Itrean males. Even male babies would die in the eggs and wombs of future mothers. The disease was horrific and terrifying, resulting in the deaths of trillions. No future male offspring could be born, and the Itreans were forced to make some of the females into males to create the sperm necessary to give birth to future female Itreans.

That was until the discovery of the human race. Having similar DNA makeup, humans had male and female genders. The T’rintar clan’s experiments in the past proved fruitful, and it was shown that humans could generate Itrean sperm with a simple procedure. The Itreans were the masters of genetic engineering, after all. The T’rintar responded in kind by offering a peace treaty to the UWA. The humans proved that not only could they produce offspring with the Itreans, but they introduced a gene that was immune to Zilik’s Disease. Male offspring could be once again born thanks to humanity.

Of course, this was only one clan. Two other clans hated the T’rintar clan. The Aksren and Shal’rein clans were all devoted to exterminating one other, and humanity was in the way. For clan T’rintar, it was a devoted goal to convince the other clans to pursue peace with the humans, but the road is one that is seemingly long and almost impossible to achieve. Wars have lasted for thousands of years. Propaganda is standard and no one from the other sides believes in one another. Humans having a cure to Zilik’s Disease? The other clans would wave their hands at you and shoot you on sight for such possible lies.

There is a slight way to combat this and only one way to prove it. Clan T’rintar reaches out to humanity and tries to find suitors to become husbands and wives to their people. They offer additional incentives to couples as well.

Among one of the many examples of the couple seen above. Shelera’rakal is a Shal’rein born in the clan T’rintar. There are two Shal’rein, the Shal’rein that are born in the T’rintar clan and the enemy Shal’rein of the Shal’rein clan. The Shal’rein, in general, are the mightiest of the Itrean race. The shark-like race stands seven feet tall, with others standing at eight feet in height. They are bigger, stronger, can breathe underwater, and fight like two marines on land. It is said that if you fight the Shal’rein on the ground, then you have already lost the battle. They are indomitable and unwavering in their ferocity.

With that all said, the Shal’rein of the T’rintar clan are a compassionate people. They seem brutish by some but are, in reality, a beautiful and intelligent people. The rich elite of clan T’rintar reaches out to humanity. “Come to T’rintar clan space. Become our mates. Become parents to our offspring, and we promise a good life, good home, and happy retirement.” There are no lies, and only the truth. For people like Eugene, he accepted the offer practically becoming a mail-order husband. His desire was to get married, have children, live a good life, and not worry about the evils of the universe.

Several months later, Eugene and Shelera’rakal stand together. Much like the many, they photograph themselves together. Shelera’rakal is one month away from delivering her baby. Further proof that Itreans and humans can be together. The fighting and struggle to fight one another are not needed.

The Shal’rein, in general, are the most enigmatic people of the Itrean race. Their great underwater cities span the seas and oceans of planets. The warriors are the masters of the gun, and they rule the oceans and land like none other. The people can be strong, dominating at times, perhaps they can be over-aggressive, but at other times, it really depends on the individual. No two Shal’rein, Aksren, or Yutilian of the Itreans are truly alike. Past cultures, history, personality, location, and environment can genuinely make the Itrean. The Itreans span to trillions upon trillions of people.

For all Shal’rein, the color of purple (or violet to some) is the most beautiful color ever to exist. It is a cultural symbol and religious icon. Even the Shal’rein clan warships are painted in purple. In the Itrean language alone there are over 15,000 words just for purple and its various shades of colors in its spectrum. It is not uncommon to see the Shal’rein from both the Shal’rein clan and the T’rintar clan to have shades of purple decorated on their bodies and clothing. Various cultures, religions, and fads reflect the way the color is used on the body. The capital world of Shal’Tar of the Shal’rein clan is believed to be the culprit as the K-Type star produces a lower luminosity than Sol, causing the mostly ocean world to be purple in appearance.

For human males, they are modified to produce Itrean sperm. The process is a straightforward one, and it's free by the T’rintar government. It takes as little as four minutes to complete. While human males result in children looking very much like the Itrean mothers, a few things have been observed to be passed down in physical appearance. Typical Itrean hands have four-digit fingers. There have been observations of five fingers in the new born children. The hair layout can be similar to the human father, including even the eye color and slight facial recognition. About 99% of the Itrean population has evolved past the point of laying eggs and instead go through gestation in the womb when it comes to reproduction.

The Shal’rein race of the T’rintar clan consists of about 11% of the overall population. This may not sound like much, but if the entire human population moved to T’rintar clan space, it would only make 1% of the total T’rintar population, so there are plenty of Itreans looking for mates. For now, as the first several months commence, some humans have accepted this program. Couples like Eugene and Shelera’rakal are the beginning of the great wave of future human/Itrean couples and families to come. The question remains, though.
