Long lost twin of Emersyn Jyra, she was also named for a Transcendentalist poet. She, like her sister is cold and practical, even more so. Neither knows the other exists so Ripley just assumes she was discarded for being Legion-Touched. She works as a bouncer in the Gaul bubble for a VR Brothel. Ripley is over life and clinically depressed but shrugs it off and does what she considers her duty. She is not a Heratic--that is those that wish to have the Empress removed as they think of her as a tyrant, like the ancient goddess Hera--but does feel the Empire is built off the backs of people like her and that they care little about their wellfare. After an assassination attempt by Heratics however, Ripley would become aware of both her brother and sister and harbored first anger at the knowledge (after all, they got to live semi comfortable lives while she was regulated to an orphanage) then begrudging acceptance. Rather than join the Valiant Aid, Ripley chose to stay on Gaia at her current position out of fear of space and feeling that she doesn't belong. She does write to both Voltaire and Emersyn daily and it helps her mood.
