30min spitpaint, Photoshop CS6. Was thinking of mixing some Game of Thrones-Stannis Baratheon shadowy assassin stuff with Alien/Xenomorph imagery. Something like that

How do you paint so fast and creating so beautiful drawings ?

A lot of practice painting fast, being okay with doing as much as you can (not as much as you want), learning shortcuts, being okay with yourself trying new things

Regarding my particular style it was actually born out of using Corel's Painter program for years, their simple water color brush would mix pixels and I *loved* it. Β Then things changed and the functionality wasn't as fluid so I swapped to Photoshop. Fastforward a few years and I just by pure chance stumble across a free set of brushes and tried using the smudge tool with one and found that it mixed pixels, not exactly the same but it had the essence of things...fell in love with digital and have been working on that ever since

If you're interested in the brush I use for smudging you can download it here .
The settings I use for the Smudge are Normal, 94% strength, all toggles off. Β Adjusting the size of the brush will give you slightly different interactions, lots of fun to play around
