Description 30min. spitpaint, Photoshop CS6. Could definitely use more 'mushroom' and if I had more time definitely more scrap metal, too. Figured out a pretty quick way to do a nice, warm, glowy entrance/environment, so the whole entranceway/chimney took about a minute or so; basically get a medium orange, paint in a much lighter 'doorway', then some radial gradients on separate layers set to overlay and maybe one set to color dodge.

You sure you don't want to sell Photoshop tutorials? The tipps, tricks and techniques you sometimes share in the descriptions are pretty interesting.

Funny coincidence, that
I'd go watch/read that if you decide to take the offer, that's for sure.

I'll give it a whirl some time, although I might need to get a new computer first. Right now this one bogs pretty bad when I do any streaming/recording while I work in Photoshop.

No wonder, both programs must be real resource hogs, I shudder to imagine what that would do to my poor old machine

Heh well my machine isn't the springiest of chickens, so that certainly doesn't help. My wife needs a new computer though so... maybe she'll inherit this one and I'll get a shiny new one lol.

Amazing! Totally fall in love with how you color the sky and the fire! Also the lighting and shadows in this is so matching logical and beautiful! Seriously mate btw i'm really amazed by how fast you can leaen new things in drawing such as a new way to draw the warm environment, what the hell is your secret in learning thinga in drawing or even in orher things?? I bet you get straight a in your college and highschool! Whoa whoa watch out folks we got a badass over here!

lol highschool not so much, not the first half at least, I slacked at state uni but when I transferred to art school I got nothing but A's because it was friggin' expensive and I had no plans on squandering that opportunity.

There's no real secret to this, what I do is just practice a lot, try a lot of different brushes and approaches, observe the world and try to find a way to replicate that on the canvas. Play around with your tools a lot, try to not do the same thing every piece, break out once in a while and see if you can recreate an effect with different brushes or approaches.

Purposeful practice, meaningful exercise

ooh so the key is trying new things in brush settings etc...i think i get it.

For my next art i'm trying new things too such as learning from youtube and try different brush settings and coloring method also tutorials from deviantart and pinterest, in the end it's about meaningful exercise!

hahahahahah i see you're really dedicated with your art passion then, you got staright a's in art school, wonderful!
