Photoshop CC2017, no photo textures/brushes/etc. Been a while since I did one of these where it felt really, really good, maybe that smokestack one from a little while back was like this. So yeah, the secret sauce... I painted a rough robe, like *real* rough lol, and then a sleeve, duplicated that and moved it around to make the other side of the sleeve, duplicated the arm/hand and moved it around a bit. Painted one of those weird curly form things and thought it'd be neat to have it flanking her sides, duplicated and mirrored it, did some light transformation and then duplicated those two bits and flipped them vertically. Colors are mainly gradients set to overlay, some parts are set to color dodge, like for the amulet and part of her crown. The background is a tossaway, I mainly wanted a rough contrast of color and key, either she'd be a high key foreground element with a darker background, or vice versa.
