Well you can get points in a number of ways.
You can buy points with real money, you can ask for donations from others, or you could take commissions. c:

Commissions are when somebody pays you to do art for them.
Donations, on the other hand are free points that you can receive through the donations widget. If you want to know how the donations widget works, I recommend just playing around with it. It's very simple.
