I sat quietly as I was told, my eyes wide. I hadn't been here since I was an apprentice, and I was still wide eyed-and terrified- at the sight of the leader of Dreamclan. Bluestar simply glared down at me, scolding me, giving me a speech, asking what right I had to return. Pigeonwing just gawked at me like I was a ghost. "Duskypaw, are you even listening to me?" Bluestar snapped, making me jolt and my pale brown tail frizz out. "Sorry, sorry" I whined, my blue eyes wide. "I know I shouldn't be here and I know I went missing and I know you thought I was dea-" "Are you dead?" Pigeonwing interrupted, both Bluestar and I looking at him strangly. "No, I don't think so..." I said, looking down at my paws. "As I was saying, why should we let you back into the clan?" I thought hard. "Because I missed you two with all my heart?" I said weakly, my whiskers twitching nervously. Bluestar gave me an icy glare. "No, Duskypaw-" I felt my pelt grow hot. "Hey, I'm not an apprentice anymore, I'm old enough for a warrior name" I said, narrowing my eyes. "Fine, DuskyCLOUD" she emphasized the last part, making me remember that- when I was an apprentice- I'd call myself Duskycloud. Pigeonwing walked to Bluestar nervously. "Couldn't she stay? I mean, you really were worried when she ran off during the ceremony......" he trailed off after catching their icey glares, clearly reading "Shut it". I saw a movement, seeing a very familiar coat and eyes. "LEOPARDHEART" I yowled, nearly scaring the fur off of the medicine cat.
