Great! First of all I just love how you've used a stock photo and made it a real work of art. Don't get me wrong, personally I'm only at the stage of 'trying to copy as well as possible' but what you're doing, that's where the magic is at.
I love the use of colors. It's beautiful and different yet very pleasing to the eye and it doesn't give the sense of 'oh we've got a blue dog here' or something of that sort. It's just a beautiful portrait! The lighter colors really guide the eye to the upper part of the dog's face, including the eye, which should hold emotion and captivate the viewer. You've done that, with the reflection and something I can't quite figure out. Perhaps the eyebrow? And the furry details...
Well I just really love looking at this. Think you have noticed by now!

This piece is utterly stunning. The emotion in his face is amazing but the vague background and use of lost edges toward the back of his head bring it all together. Great use of colour, too, of course ;]
