Whoa, nice work! This is certainly DD material, though if you just adjusted the BG a bit, it might be a bit better. Adding in some radial lighting in PS or GIMP would also add a nice vintage feel. Very, very cool piece. I've worked a bit in Blender, and I know how hard it is to get all this stuff in order. Very nice! - 3D

I like the idea of this - it's very cool. I like clocks - would be cool to have that actually up and running .

Of course compared to your featured DD, this one is better.
But the gears still look like mere decoration, if they were spinning they would still be spinning in empty air, moving nothing. I guess this watch is supposed to be more pretty than functional, that would be an explanation. The concept is interesting but the end result is still lacking. Maybe you should take your time to polish the idea and work on the artpiece.

I never made the cogs to move. The idea is that he clocks in the clock work, but the cogs have no role to play in that, I wanted all these cogs to look confusing, and to make the viewer wonder if they are purposeful or not. But I fully understand if it does not look right to you, each person will interpret it differently.

I always want to try a clock cuz in my opinion a clock is the paragon of mechanical perfection
but I donΒ΄t hade the time for such a complex project beside studying.

I am still a student, I worked on this every free moment I had, I believe that in this type of work,practice makes perfect,and the more u work the better u do, I have only been working in max for 9 months,and this is what I can produce now by saying to myself "imagine what it would look like when its done"

Excellent! Just one ittybitty thing. That thing (is it knob? lol I'm so stupid) for the largest sub-clock. It looks a little flat, cut out. Maybe if you tried solidifying it....I guess.
