"Yo, Mr. White!"

Happy Friday everyone! Here are the results of my "Breaking Bad" fan art I've been working on! This piece has been long overdue. I started it months ago and actually forgot to finish off the drawing until I saw it lying around in my sketch book and thought to myself, "My goodness, how could I have forgotten about the notorious Heisenberg?!"

I cannot stress enough how much I LOVE this show. I am currently in the progress of finishing the last season since Netflix has finally released it! No spoilers please! It has officially become my favorite show to have ever come out on television! It took me so long to understand the hype. I had so many people recommend it to me, but my stubborn self who doesn't typically like to follow the trends of the mass public prolonged me from watching it. Finally the past summer I decided to give it a try and wow, after a few episodes I was hooked! The creators of the series are absolute geniuses and Bryan Cranston is an AMAZING actor!

Anyways, enough with my rambling. I could go on forever! This was such a pleasure to work on! Walter White aka Heisenberg has such a memorable and distinct face, I just love how his character looks! Especially when he wears his signature hat! I wanted to incorporate the theme of the blue crystal meth in there somehow, so I decided to use a watercolor pencil to add in a background and splashes of blue onto Mr. White, representing how the idea of being a drug lord takes over his character as the series progresses. Rather than an act, it becomes his identity.

I absolutely love Heisenberg and this was one of my favorite portraits I have ever worked on, purely because the subject was such a joy for me to create!
