Thieves are awesome but I rarely have one in my party because they're usually pretty weak. BUT they are able to steal which is quite useful in some games

In FF games they are fast and can dodge pretty well. But their attack power is weak, just like defense.

That's why you increase their evade with more materials and give that class to the person who naturally has the highest health.
