Finally! Another deviation!

I was looking through some of the Naoko Takeuchi art books I have at home and felt inspired to paint everyone's favorite heroine, Sailor Moon! I started drawing the picture in late November, and worked on it here and there. I actually finished it up today!

I drew the picture on 5.5x8.5 water color paper. The sketch was outlined with a black micron ink pen and painted in watercolor and white acrylic paint. A few touch-ups were made here and there with prisma color markers. For the backgroud, I got a little bit experimental, for a change. I placed down heart shaped stickers, masked Usagi/Serena with masking fluid and painted over everything in pink. Unfortunately, it didn't come out as vivid as a liked after scanning. Either way, I think it came out rather nice. Not too bad for someone who is slowly but surely trying to ease her way back into tha art scene, eh?
