Description An entry to
Dr. Syn: The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh was made as a 3 part mini series made by Disney in 1963. It was later edited down and shown theatrically in Britain under the name Dr. Syn: Alias the Scarecrow. Based on a series of novels, the movie focuses on Dr. Syn (coolest name ever, btw) a village vicar who at night becomes The Scarecrow, a smuggler who helps the villagers against corrupt soldiers.

Pictured here are Dr. Syn, the Scarecrow, with his two assistants Hellspite (skull face) and Curlew (the owl).

Both the film and mini series have become hard to find nowadays, but if you can find it I recommend it. It kind of shows its age (I remember many day-for-night shots being in it) but its a very fun, old school swashbuckling action film.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who's seen this movie!
From what I've see, Disney gave it a limited DVD release a few years ago. The DVDs I looked at on eBay were going for hundreds of dollars now. I've seen a few that are more affordable but I'm pretty sure they were bootlegs.
Thanks a bunch!

These days the company thinks too much with dollar signs, is unlikely they're make another DVD release because it wasn't that successful to begin with. Good heavens I saw it on amazon.com for $400.00! Ridiculous!

Oh yeah I voted for you.

That horse's expression is too funny XD!
Everything about this is fabulous - from the grass effect to the shading.

My first time drawing a horse. It turned out a little goofy, but it turned out alright for the most part.
Thanks a lot!

Not surprising. It seems to be hard to find now. I saw it once online years ago but it seems to have been taken down since. Even finding it through... less than legitimate means seems to be difficult.

If you ever manage to find it, give it a watch. It's a really cool movie, especially for its time.
