Jamie was a student at Magic Academy. He was bullied by some of his classmates. All he wanted to do was get away from them. His teachers did not seem to care about the problem so he turned to the internet.

The magical web could only be accessed by those with magical powers. All kinds of magical items for sale could be found there. Jamie ordered the Cloak Of Unrecognizability. It arrived in a matter of seconds.

Like most magical items ordered online there was a catch. Whenever Jamie put the cloak on, he turned into a girl wearing a pink hoodie. After transforming she looked at herself in the mirror. The details may have been hidden but the claim appeared to be true. No one would be able to recognize her.

Jamie thought about what to do. She could wear the cloak going to school, coming home, during lunch, and in between classes and remove it for actual class time when she needed to be recognized. If she knew if the cloak failed her they would probably tease her even more but at this point she felt she had nothing to lose. The only way to find out if it worked was to actually try it.

The next day, Jamie put on the cloak and went to school. Neither student nor teacher knew who she was. Some of them even thought she was a new student. When she removed the cloak for his first class, the students recognized him again. It was like they had forgotten all about the girl who was there mere seconds earlier.

Even the teacher did not know what was going on. Jamie at least those who taught magic would know about the cloak but that was not the case. Other classes that day went more or less the same. Talking to some of his classmates during class, they remembered the girl, even recent conversations they had had with her, but they did not remember she had just been where Jamie was seated.

After about a week, while wearing the cloak, Jamie told one of his friends who she was. He did not believe her because she was unrecognizable. The cloak worked a little too well. As long as she wore the cloak no one would know who she was.

When Jamie got home, he put the cloak on the back of the chair and thought about what to do next. The cloak worked but it made his life very complicated. He considered his options. If he did not wear the cloak he would get bullied again, if he wore the cloak full time he would have to reenroll at Magic Academy and lose all the credits he had earned thus far, and if he continued doing what he was doing he would face mental exhaustion.

Later that night, Jamie decided to look for something that would help him deal with mental exhaustion. He explained his situation to the company that sold him the cloak and they recommended a potion. He bought the potion which one again appeared mere seconds later.

Jamie drank the potion and put on the cloak wondering what it would do. She became a bubbly girly girl. The double life she was leading no longer concerned her. Yet with the cloak off he could focus on his schoolwork. Again he was no longer concerned with the double life.

Jamie knew the solution was a temporary one but it would do. The real way to handle the situation was to do something about those bullies but no one seemed to be doing anything. That was until she saw something that happened while she was well hidden.
