Description The first and second story floor plans for my fire station project. They were drawn in AutoCAD Architecture 2009 then exported as a pdf, manipulated in CS4 to make the linework white and make the background transparent, then finally put onto my display board, it was an extremely tedious process, but I think the final product was worth it. Some line weights and leader lines got messed up when it was shrunk down to scale and the text is "meh" at best, but its readable and that's what matters.

Hehe pretty convenient right? Just ask if you want me to enlarge anything else, its not much of a hassle!
I left out the notation I put under this, but I explained that having a drive through garage for the fire trucks is much safer then having to back into the garage from the front of the building. When I was doing my precedent study, a fire fighter we talked too said that 12 fire fighters a year are seriously injured or killed from that, so I think putting that on there is really going to help set my project out there from the rest. Its tricky with this project because there is no oral presentation, you have to indicate everything important about your building on the board or the judges will never know.

that's interesting . i've seen stations like that before but most are the back-in style . only 12 isn't bad if that's the entire united states . more children than that , in each state , die by eating paperclips each year . i do like that design a lot though . it almost looks like a Frank Lloyd structure .

best of luck to you !
