Pregorexia is when a pregnant woman would diet and try to keep a certain weight, overexercise to avoid gaining weight. It's when people with eating disorders get pregnant and they don't stop their eating habits, even if there's something inside that's growing. A lot of pregorexic women just have these symptoms when pregnant. Other times, it's different. There aren't many people that now of it and a lot of women feel ashamed about talking to others about pregorexia because really...how does it sound to you if a woman tells you she's been starving herself when she has a child coming?

There are many things which are symbolic in that picture. For one, Millie (the character) is wearing a bikini. This can be looked at in other ways. Pressure from the media to look good and show off their bodies. A woman thought of as a sex-tool to her husband and to showcase the flat stomach she has that has [baby?] in it. In a lot of pregorexic woman, you can't really tell that they're pregnant sometimes because their bumps are so tiny.

On the top of the picture, there's "abortion? abortion?" again, people and the media keep on pressuring woman about not getting abortions and I'm sure many pregorexic women are disgusted by the fact that they're trying to keep a strict schedule on their bodies and overexercise when they should actually blossom into a flower and give birth to seeds. It's also why I chose flowers all around. Pregnant women are thought of things that "blossom" into beauty when at the same time, Mille's perception of beauty is to be keep the same figure she had before pregnancy during/after giving birth.

The blood symbolises pain. Like bulimics and other people with eating disorders, it doesn't just happen. They're in a strict need of control over themselves or so they feel like it and a lot of people believe that because celebrities look thin during their pregnancies and afterwards have almost no baby fat, then they think that they should maintain that level of thinness during their pregnancies.

Pregorexia is a mental disorder. It should be treated as a mental disorder. It's a state of mind that a person acquires that makes them feel disgusted and ashamed of doing this when they know they're forcing their child to starve as well and it could result in miscarriage and deformities in the baby.
