Very nervous and yet somewhat proper, Barium doesn't like to do a lot of physical activities. Barium loves researching things and learning stuff, but he fears a lot of the world, so he always seems to be a bit jumpy and nervous. One of his favourite activities which doesn't scare him, is stargazing. It's nice, quiet and very interesting. He loves seeing the stars in the sky, analyzing them, learning about the contellations and knowing the stars will always be there, always shine brightly into his world. Other than stargazing on the top of a hill at nighttime, you can usually find him curled up by the fire, watching the sound of music with a hot chocolate in a pillow nest. He tends to keep his opinions to himself but only when the topic is on something he doesn't care for. With the topics he is very opinionated on, he always has something to say to try and convince others of his side of the story. He is very smart, and he loves the sciences. Being named after one of the elements on the ToE might come in to play there a little. Even as he gets older, he still loves the old school science projects like the coca cola and mentos, as well as the vinegar and baking soda volcanos. He is kind, and non-judgmental. He takes in all the facts before making a decision and he is always willing to lend a listening ear as well as some well thought out advice.

Barium's friendship with Reid is extremely storng. Barium gets beat up and made fun of a lot for being such a scaredy-cat, nerd, etc.. Reid looks out for Barium like a bro, and Barium loks up to Reid. Reid is the most important friend in Barium's life and Bari and Reid go together like Sherlock and Watson. When Reid is sad, Barium offers him hot beverages and does his best to comfort in his nerdy ways, saying that Reid is "higher on the evolutionary chain than most" or other smart shit (I'm not smart so I can't come up with anything) Reid then comforts Barium by trying to be smart, but making barium laugh instead "E=Mc SMILE GODAMNIT" Anyways, Reid is really gentle and protective over Barium. They love each other like bros.
