This is what I like to call the doodle that got carried away! Β
I had no intentions of completing or coloring it initially - I was just trying to study owls for a Christmas gift project I am working on. Everyone liked the pen doodle so much that I decided to complete it!
This is actually all colored pencil with some white gel pen for details.Β Β

Which part is done with white gel pen? I have never used a white gel pen before so not totally sure how it works, love to learn more techniques though

I used the white gel pen for details and "shine" (especially on the feathers) and for the thick outline around everything. I went a little overboard because I had just gotten the white pens for the first time, lol!
In this case, I was trying to color a heavily inked piece (I hadn't planned on coloring or completing it at first), so the white gel pen helped me put some detail back into areas I had trouble getting the effect I wanted with color.Β Β
