My Scotty aka Butterscotch looks a lot like this kitty, especially the white on the nose!

Yes, he is! He doesn't have a tomcat face at all; he's so pretty! And, that nose is just too cute!

Is your kitty very loving, gentle and sweet-natured? I don't think that Scotty knows how to be naughty or ornery.

Philip J. Fry is, for the most part one of the most sweet-natured kittens we have had for a while. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't get into his share of trouble. He likes to chew into the bread bags, then he likes to eat the crust off the bread. When he is done he likes to drag it across the floor to a safe spot. There are other things that he does, but he also is one of the most loving kittens. We have been very lucky with this group of cats, they are for the most part well behaved, other than knocking stuff off the counter and such.Β

We had two cats who used to attack the bread~still in the grocery sacks then in the bread basket on the microwave. So, I definitely understand Philip! Well, I can agree about the behavior, but I guess we can't truly understand their fascination with bakery products, right?

How can these aggravating, ornery creature be so irresistible?!

I am convinced that the more secure they feel in their cuteness the more ornery they feel they can be, and get away with it.

That's definitely, absolutely, positively true! *giggle* We had the orneriest tuxedo boy, Muffin, and he broke things nearly every day and got into so much mischief! We never punished him. He would get on my lap and wrap his "arms" around my neck, purring and kitty-kissing me~the same things he did to Mom.

Sadly, he went adventuring with Miracle Joe Boots and never came home. Joe found his way back about four months after disappearing. Muffin never showed up. Somehow, we feel that he found another home somewhere because he was so gentle, loving and friendly. Mom never cries, but she did cry when Muffin vanished, as did I. I was extremely ill then, and a medicine my doctor had me on was having horrible effects, so my grief was strong enough that Mom was worried about my heart. Both of us dreamed regularly about Muffin~nearly every night; and, we hoped it meant that he was coming back. Every night, I would go to the front porch then the back porch, calling his name, hoping he would find his way back. Anyway... I think we're glad that we never punished Muffin for his misbehavior. He had to know how much we loved him.

Cats really know how to get to us~at least, most of them do. Our formerly feral Sophie still is jumpy even though she's never been a bad kitty. As for Sunny and some of the others... It's definitely a case of "I'm so cuuuuute!"

Our semi feral Momma Kitty is finally loosening up a bit and will allow us to pet her a bit. As long as we are sitting down. That is very sad about Muffin. It is amazing to me how these little things can work their way into your heart.Β
I lived for a while in a small house that had been turned into 4 apartments, I had a cat show up at my door one day, he seemed to be looking for food. I gave him some and it became a daily ritual. Soon he was coming into my apartment and sleeping the day away. I named him, Elrond, and he became my cat. I would let him out in the evenings and when I got up the next day he would be waiting for me to let him in. Β One day he just disappeared. As I was driving home one day I saw him at someones house, so stopped and asked about him. It turned out that he was this ladies cat, she had lived in the front apartment where I lived and she would let him in her apartment every night after his day of running around. He left her every morning. I still miss that cat, and that was nearly 30 years ago.
