The subject matter and setting are definitely unique and interesting to look at, but the actual execution of the photo ends up more in the 'snapshot' category than that of a more professional or artistic photo.

The first thing that struck me about the picture was actually that nothing really struck me. Because of the low contrast in the picture and the high presence of midtones, the photo has very little visual impact. The brightest part of the photo is actually the celtic knotwork of the birdbath thing, whereas the focus should instead be placed on the sleeping kittens.

The composition has an awkward list to the side, and tends to make the image somewhat hard to look at. You have a lot of strong, bright lines that contrast sharply with the softness of the kittens which also takes the focus away from them.

To fix up some of the problems for next time, I'd suggest getting some more light in the top of the frame and brightening up those sleeping kitties. I might also suggest less depth of field since you've got a lot of detail on the birdbath with the knotwork, and patterns in photos usually draw a lot of attention when set amidst mostly organic shapes.

I think this image might work better as a horizontal, that way you have more focus on the kittens and less on the other stuff going on in the background.

It is hard being a feral cat in our neighborhood, there are only about 3 houses that make shure they get some food.

Sadly, most of our star's or ferals have gone. We have just one left I think, and he feels very free to come in and eat and have a safe haven for a nap.

It's always so cute to see one cat doing something so funny or sweet, but to catch two or more together doing the same thing is awesome! Good job!

It is even harder to get two feral cats doing the same thing. These two seem to hang together a lot though. Thanks for the comment!

Everyone in the neighborhood actually watches out for them. they are pretty well cared for for being feral.

Always! They get fed pretty good, and always have shelter when they need.
