Sorry it was inevitable.A fellow artist and friend on Tumblr ( [link] ) wanted this to happen. She sorted the bendings on the characters (perfectly) and hopefully she will make her own version but in the design of the Legend of Korra's universe. I hardly can wait!

Nice! Lion-O looks awesome as a waterbender! And Cheetara fits Air perfectly while Panthero fits Earth, and Tygra fire! The Kittens master ALL four...genius! Lov this!!!!

Unfortunately, I do not see Lion-O as a "bender" at all when I picture Avatar Thundercats.
I kind of see him as a "SOKKA" in a combat sense. Using physical weapons and raw spirit to overcome even the most formidable of benders.
Never the less, awesome picture! I really envy and enjoy your work!

Personally, I'm happy you went out of the path and put Lion-o for water-bending! Firebending is ideal but still rather obvious, plus there are aspects of Lion-o's personality that sides with what the element of water represents.
Other than my rant this is wonderful sketches!

Too cool! Cheetara looks even prettier than usual here. Tygra is awesome. Panthro looks like a badass. Lion-O may not be my first choice for waterbending, but the pose and his hands are simply perfect. I like the idea of twins being the Avatar. That would be an interesting twist. Thanks for drawing this!

My friend here at DA wanted to know what happened to Snarf. I asked him 'can you see Snarf doing that?' and just now I recieved his response. He said Momo in The Last Airbender did some earthbending. I actually forgotten that. Can you imagine Snarf doing fire bending or waterbending?

The clothes are taken from the show. I used references from the Last Airbender and Aang's clothes do not have a lighter verison.
Also it is of course fanservice.
