20"x30" Oil on CanvasI look back on my catalog from the last 4 years and there some great pieces that I love and some that I feel never quite was pushed far enough. This is one such painting that has always bothered me in that it didn't go anywhere or feel quite finished. And so, it sat, in storage until it was given new light. I started with a quick sketch of the old painting and built off that using some new marks and shapes. I feel much better about this painting now.

I like this piece quite a bit. To me, I see depth to your painting. Like someone kneeling on a mountain and looking down at the river in the valley flowing off in the far distance. That's what I see when I look at your painting.
