Description This comic based on the old Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon from the 90s. For some reason, Sonic was obsessed with eating chili dogs [link] . I guess the creators of the show just wanted to give Sonic a signature food [link] , like the Ninja Turtles or Garfield.

In the games and other shows, Sonic is always trying to save animals trapped by Robotnik. For such an animal friendly hero, it seems odd that Sonic would constantly dine on a meal that combines two very meaty dishes. Well, maybe he just eats vegetarian chili dogs. I guess this is like wondering what people eat in the PokΓ©mon universe.

The reason Sonic eats Chili Dogs is obvious. It's a terrible pun on the fact the fast food chain Sonic has Chili Dogs on the menu.

But then you have the whole why do anthropomorphic animals eat meat problem, and everything from Mickey Mouse to Arthur has faced that. I swear there's a Donald Duck video Game where he replenishes his energy by eating chicken. Bet that was just a sick little programmer's joke.

There's been alot of fan debate about what the chili dogs are made out of in Sonic's world.

Nice parody cartoon. Sonic's arm is miscolored, (It's peach colored like his muzzle/snout, and tummy) but that inaccuracy is easy to overlook, due to how well-drawn, and funny this cartoon is.
