Then start with bike riding or swimming for cardio. Jogging is high impact on your knees and even i can't do it for long.

You're totally right, but I feel like getting wet is such a hassle and biking requires expensive hardware--jogging is low investment, high reward, if you can keep it up.

I spent $20 bucks on a mountain bike and only had to get a tube for the tire now and again. Also if you get fast enough you can use it instead of a car sometimes which saves me a HELL of money -__-

Oh boy. I will be trying to get back into shape as well this summer. Maybe you should try out the 'Couch to 5k'? What you do is walk a bit, then run, walk, run...slowly building up till you just run all the time. I have heard nothing but good things about it so here is to hoping!
