Description
The main reason Octillery is is so high on my list is because octopi are my favorite animal. I find them incredibly interesting for many reasons. They are among the top smartest creatures on the planet and can solve puzzles in depth. Their skin is a multitude more advanced at changing colors than chameleons. They can learn and adapt behaviors or other undersea life and behave and act like them as an additional form of camouflage. I could go on about their unique behaviors and physiology. They are also a symbol for "magic". Unfortunately, Octillery doesnt hold up to my expectations for a real octopus, but he does have a canon for a mouth which is pretty cool. Its evolutionary line from Remoraid is visually probably the weirdest in pokemon, but it does make a little sense when you think about how a revolver upgrades into a tank and how they both like to stick to things. I'm just hoping one day for a future gen pokemon decides to take more advantage of the source material and make it possibly part psychic or poison or something.Octillery is my 10th favorite pokemon as of now.

You have done an excellent job of combining the classic head shape of Octillery with the proper full-body anatomy of a real octopus. As a Pokémon Professor, I find this depiction of the species extremely pleasing and demonstrative of an intimate knowledge of real-world animals. Again, well done.

the head was kind of difficult to work out because i wanted it to be more boneless like real octopi but some of octillery's pokedex entries say its as hard as rock, im guessing because of the tank inspiration or as a replacement for the beak since it's mouth is misplaced

Well, the way I figure it, they actually have a thick calcium carbonate shell that lines the inside of their head cavity that does literally make their heads as hard as rock. It offers no real structural support, though, so they are still boneless mollusks.

that still doesnt sound as flexible as a real octopuses head. if i remember right they can squeeze into holes as small as their eyes. but it would make more sense for octillery sense it isnt actually a rock type
