The clipper had reached its destination. The humming of the machine rose as it cut its way through the hair that framed Sakura's face with meticulous precision. At first there was no direct contact between her and the device; the hairdresser used it as a kind of improvised pair of scissors.Still, Sakura screwed up her eye when she heard the hum so close to her ear. The other looked skeptically in the direction of what was happening. Within seconds, the left strand was trimmed evenly almost to the length of the earlobe.Of course, she suspected that this would not last long. Even so, she did not dare to shake, which is why the first strands of fallen hair were scattered over her shoulders and lap. The strands on the other side were shortened just as quickly. The customer's discomfort seemed to be a growing curiosity about what to expect.
