This pond had so many frogs that every picture I had taken of it, had at least one frog in it. This shot has three!Related content

Indeed, it is that way in the woods as well, out here you can take a flashlight and shine it around the property and you always see eyes looking back. Sometimes it is a little unnerving!

In my last job I was near, or on access roads in the forest. Day and night, which is why I was able to get a lot of wildlife and plant photos over the last few years. Not just the reflections of the eyes, but the odd sounds!

LOL Yeah we get our share of weird noises as well! Around here you walk through the woods and you hear knocking on the trees, and rocks and pinecones get thrown at you

I do too, they are all singing here already. I sat outside last night listening to them for a while. We even have one by our door that is singing.

Most of ours are Pacific tree frogs, they have a lovely chipping song. But there are so many that it can be difficult to single out the call!

Not officially, but it is almost spring temperatures. Normally our winters here are very mild, with only a few weeks seeing freezing temperatures, and snow is only around for short periods. This weekend is going to be sunny and about 10° C.

Thank you! There had to have been over 50, and it was just a little flat spot in the runoff. Still I am just happy that it has warmed up enough that they are out and singing.
