ASJ's life goal is to find Professor Black (In his word, "Mother") and he found out that she ever worked for the Foot, so he joined the clan when they came to Black's lab (to destroy it) after Black disappeared. The deal is ASJ will work for the Foot and the Foot will give him food, shelter, and clues of the professor (which is useless)
