Seems like a good set of practice if you want to head into more realistic realm. Quite nice. If you get time you might want to look into gouache paints. They can be great for stuff like this in real life. Plus they have a nice flat matte finish.

i don't lol, all i can think of is to say that, around the edges of each colour, use either the smudge tool or blur tool, and it well blend the colours into each other so it doesn't look like the sharp lines between the two are there i.e. around the cheek bone, on the very edge of the lighter colour, to the one next to it, in the middle follow the lines down with the smudge or blur tool and it will make them appear much smoother
