Description Zion National Park, Utah.

Was taken moments after [link]

Before these photos were taken wind gusts were ripping through Zion's East Canyon up to 80+mph. Most violent windstorm I have ever been in. Luckily conditions calmed quickly and was able to grab some shots.

This is awesome, I've always felt that this section of the park has a lot of untapped potential. Everyone's shot in the narrows, or on top of angel's landing, but the east entrance section has yet to be really shot well. Excellent shot!

I agree. We spend very little time in the main canyon when we visit. I find all the textures, vistas and colors of the east canyon more interesting. You can hike a little ways and escape the crowds plus work on getting original shots. Thank you much!

Lovely shot !
As for the 100km/h winds, I just experienced them first hand in the Alps. Really not tent-friendly )

Oh man! I would think not. lol
It gets a little adventurous having a tent in a windstorm.
Thank you!

Nice. I like the subtle sunset lighting up the bottom of the clouds in the distance and the omnipresent feeling of night creeping up behind the clearing storm clouds.

Thank you. Yeah it was pretty scary climbing around on the slickrock in conditions like that.

I had that about a month ago when trying to find a better angle shooting a waterfall in the rain and climbing on rocks to get to a ledge. Only later did it dawn on me that this could have gone badly

Yikes, One of those moves that kept you up at night? I have had a few of those.

Yeah,

Now I can laugh about it, but it sure was pretty "stupid"

Ah, what we do in the name of art, hahahaha
