Description Red: Sitalice, home of the Arcane Academy, the central government is weak here and the Headmaster of the Academy arguably has more influence than the king. Indeed, when the empire came to Sitalice it was the Academy that offered the lion's share of the resistance. Now, with a tenuous peace, they wait and worry, knowing the Eshlians simply mean to finish off their current adversaries. The students and faculty of the Arcane Academy are powerful, but numbers are not on their side.

Green: Shiki Tiko, led by the wise frog, Shiki Tiko. Beware those who do not have slimy skin or crisp scales; you are not welcome here. The lizardfolk and amphibioids have a tendency to trek a bit outside of their borders to ensure security, so be weary.

Cyan: The Eshlian Empire, rapidly expanding, a land of humans and orcs. Long ago they were drawn together by the horrors inflicted on them by the elves, but it seems they learned nothing of the consequences tyranny. They say the Satin King is immortal and, having defeated the Priestess of the Four Seasons and the Rat Guardians, there are few who would argue.

White: The Vanaran Confederacy, not really a confederacy, not even really a country, simply what the Eshlians refer to them as. They are bound almost exclusively held together by their culture with almost no central government, though there are elders and martial arts masters that are generally revered.

Orange: The Northern Prairies, home to the ratfolk, is slowly being burned away by the Eshlians. If only Copperfoot was still alive. There are whispers that a new Rat Guardian has been chosen, but will it really make a difference? Chargo and Lentil fought valiantly against the Satin King, but could not defeat the young lich.

Green: Peaks of the First Children, the mountains where dragons typically reside, there are tribes and chieftains, but no central power, not since Prosil was defeated by Copperfoot. You might think that the dragons would be resentful, but to the contrary, there are many statues of the first Rat Guardian in Peaks. The gods made the dragons first. They were designed to fight and destroy as they were the vanguard of the gods. Those who have been around since the beginning can even remember when the old god of chaos had a name, and can remember when his heart was torn out and buried deep below.

Black: The Ebony Hills. The Strix live here, led by Dread Angel Moveth. Their numbers bolstered by the undead. Their neutrality with the Eshlian empire is suspicious given their history.

Yellow: The United Elven Kingdom, normally the pretentious hierarchy of the elves would prevent them from working together, but under the Priestess of the Four Seasons they were united to prevent their mutual destruction by the Eshlian Empire. The UEK are the primary rivals of the Eshlians and these two forces have been in a brutal stalemate for decades.

Purple: Ostaemus Alliance, the few that know of the darkness to come.

Pink: Land of the Secondborne, not really a country, but the powerful fae that reside here maintain a sort of natural order that sort of resembles a governing body

Not Pictured: The Earth's Hollow Veins, the Dark Elves and Deep Gnomes live there, in the olden days they lived in relative peace, but those times have long since been forgotten as they find themselves locked in a war for the Earth's Hollow Heart. The Deep Gnomes wish to lock away this ancient threat, but the dark elves have control and have been feeding it for centuries. The Dark Elves have a saying: “When mortals become Great Ones and light bleeds into dark, when a million souls are consumed by the earth’s hollow heart, and a son of man drinks life from the First Born Rage, when order has lost one page and chaos infects the old sage, when the Holy Light Blinks...all will be one…one will be all...peace will be brokered...and the Great Ones will fall.”
