If this was a David Attenborough show, they'd just leave or watch it and do nothing.

I don't understand it as well. Okay, I get it's nature and nature is the biggest bitch you'll meet but... they're there, can't they help just a tiny bit?
π: 0 β©: 1
banamaru In reply to Thesleepywolf [2013-10-08 20:33:58 +0000 UTC]
Yeah. :I actually, by making the baby prey live, they'd be helping the predators because it'd become bigger & fatter and possibly have more Β babies. But nooo.

DevilAntRat In reply to banamaru [2014-08-05 14:15:45 +0000 UTC]
nope that don't works like that...
it's not helping predators to give them easy food..
that's why the predators kills those that are easy to kill so that only those that are hard to kill remains and reproduce
leading to a higher difficulty in finding food Β and thus a harsher selection Β for the predators to evolve = the harder is it to kill the better killer become the predators..
It's not about having a comfy demography it's all about evolution..Β

Horizontal and brutal. I love your sense with this one.
My only thought is that, by keeping the horizon line high, you're keeping the lionesses' silhouettes hidden by the ground tone...but I'm impressed how well you managed to cheat it so you could keep the protagonists framed.

I figured they'd pass as blending in with their environment, even though yeah.. the elephant already knows they're there. XD

I personally wouldn't think saving the elephant would be a good deed.
What about the felines? They need the meat to survive, too.
That's wildlife to you.
> reason i'm so excited to see the next aaahhh

yep, the life of a lioness is hard enough like that..
But there is so much ppl siding!
and ppl saying nature is a bitch and is wrong!
I say, leave nature alone, they know way better than us how to manage their evolution and survival..
I am all for Irving helping non-humans against humans hunter because hunting with a non genetical weapon is as much natural and good for the ecosystem and evolution as nuking the whole area but protecting a rightful prey against rightful predators is WTF.. Β Β

Well, having made it to what appears to be the most recent page of this comic, I can quickly confirm that it has become one of my favorites on dA. It's absolutely hilarious, and the art is fantastic on every page. And it makes me overuse the word "awesome" when I want to say something about it. I think that's an accomplishment. I can't wait to see what happens next.
