The composition and paws are so damned cute! You've got a handle on the shape interplay that can come out of larger compositions.
Took me too long to notice that Bill's beak was scruffing Tango's chest... damn, so warm and fuzzy and shit. I need to bake something.
The wings? Oh, the wings look fine in shape, just wonkish in behavior. Think of how the arm works under the wings, and how it'd have to fold rigid feathers in order to move, and the muscle needed to support the wingspan -
it doesn't have to show in the final product, nor do you have to lay it out perfectly - but it adds believability if it looks like those elements are affecting each other. Zzat what you're complaining about?

I feel like in my head I understand how wings work, but I haven't drawn them enough to get any sort of flow/natural stability to them. Got me some wing references for future cute bird creatures though!

You seem to make everything you try look weighty and large and massive...it's one of your strong points, don't sell it short! (And don't get me wrong, you're perfectly capable of spidery lightness when you put your head to it...)
(My instinct is large compositions with fucktons of shapes fighting. I hate that.)
Your wings work fine in all but perspective. Thing is, though, the flow seems compromised by your instinct to present the faceted side of the wings...? Just a thought.
(I'm no good judge. I like sturm und drang and Clampettesque caricature; in fact, I want my poses to look like they're ripping their tendons off. I wouldn't think twice of drawing the primaries at a 330 degree angle to the forearm.)
(Our relationship seems well epitomized by the fact that, when I read the word "get," I immediately started googling for wing reference to just give you, no order needed. Like in the military or some shit.

Haha, thats just sloppy shading, but getting the colors and shading in the right place will help things look more realistic! Nice orangey browns work well for me.

Haha good luck with that! Not planning on doing either anytime soon. There are probably already tutorials out there that cover the basics of what I do though, its basically just layering and painting the shading on things XD
