This is so adorable I can't even begin to put it's cuteness into words. And that animation is so smooth, animation is so hard for me. Great job!

Such basic animation principles make anything look good! And yeah.. this has been a nice reminder of why I love animation so much! Sometimes I wonder if I should redirect my focus, but gosh darnit, motion is so addicting!

LiimLsan In reply to Colonels-Corner [2012-11-07 06:52:57 +0000 UTC]
It's fucking addicting! I'm actually addicted to the idea of controlling time and the audiences eyes. Just the concept of drawings in spatial sequence as representing time.
It makes the drawings themselves so much cooler...
What I've been theorizing is the relationship between two animation drawings and how...shit, whatever that comment Hans Sachs makes on Walther's prize song's afgbersang about how 'the child proves the parents' or whatever'... that the point of animation is the two drawings right next to each other, fucking each other almost, and the space between them.
(If it's even more uncomfortable for you, I've actively used the term 'cumdumpster' to describe my more experimental watercolors that I rarely post on here. I need some way to get my peers to notice me.)
And as long as you're in Carolina, you can work on this on your own time, then come North or West as a fully formed animator with a self-taught and wholly freaky style... ^^

It does!
Haha oh my! Start a blog or tumblr to dump your cum. ERR. umm. Unseen artwork?
And pff, thats the plan, minus I haven't even touched my animation desk since I came here XD Its to weird D: SIGH, one day!

Maybe I should. I'll let you know if I take you up on that! %%
I found out that despite working on a film of my own, I flip so much that I haven't even taken my lightbox out of the sleeve since August. 0.0
I'm also weird...I already have a bad back and am GOING to give myself SCOLIOSIS, but I find it easier to animate in front of a giant kitchen table, resting a lightboard under my disk, leaning them on the table, and keeping ALL my notes and thumbnails and boards and half-finished poses and finished animation drawings scattered in front of me on the table. Leaning over the board. I'mna break my neck one of these days.

You betta C:
Hahh, you will! I've been trying so hard not to slouch even, but the mind wanders and the back snaps in two.. Definitely understand the messy work space, I end up mysteriously pulling every chair and table into my work area to form the ultimate animation nest. Its the only way!

Even as my own projects should be taking precedence, I still keep absentmindedly sketching Anchor things.
(The one class which I have access to the tablet (it's scholastically provided), I've been preoccupied for the last few weeks making up assignments that I didn't know were due. I have several walk cycles and a Vince test to challenge myself with.)
Plus, it may be an Aspie stereotype, but I have atrocious muscle tone. I'm quite muscly, good biceps and thighs and shit, but they're hideously inefficient muscle tone, they can barely lift their own weight (and they're quite heavy).
I'm not sure what your equivalent would be for waking up in the middle of the night and finding that it's an effort to pull up your testicles, but that's how bad my muscles are. I slouch endlessly and already have a bad back from it...and my habits aren't helping.
Yeah, "Nest" is a pretty good word for what me and some of my friends use... I keep meaning to build little scene shelves out of plywood like you're supposed to, but never get around to it. What do you do to hold your scene papers together, what kind of system? Curiosity...

Whenever projects SHOULD be taking precedence, I've noticed its the perfect time for other little projects to pop up and distract the hell out of you. Real work... or fun dog drawings. Its no contest!
Hahaha, wow! we'll tie you up to a post so you cant slouch. Problem solved!
Oh gosh, I'm so janky. I use little clips and file folders, but other than that they're just flopped together in one big stack.

LiimLsan In reply to Colonels-Corner [2012-11-16 19:18:36 +0000 UTC]
It isn't! I haven't painted shit in like a week...been too busy with schoolwork and animation tests.
Or I could diet...I'd probably have more problems with passing out.
(One thing about me is that i have gigantic-ass lungs. Side effects from an estrogen whatsit. And I actually can't exercise for long periods, because when I inhale with my lungs at 'exercise' capacity, I suck so much air down my throat that my tonsils end up windsheared. It's insane, it's painful, it's fattening, and it totally sucks. If I was asthmatic it'd be even worse, but I once started spitting blood after I exercised long enough.)
I have lots of teeny little stacks, spread everywhere, about ten drawings thick. I did, however, solve half my life when I decided to organize all of my story sketches in order of 'place in film' and 'when I want to make the film.' Now it's all in one bigass stack on my desk... about half a foot tall... and it's one of ten stacks of miscellanae...
How do you file your drawings once you're done with them? Curiosity's sake?

Im so bad at replyinggg gahh.
D: Get yourself a nice big bubble to live in!
And uhhhm. I stick them in a box. Haha. The folders are labeled, but I haven't formed any efficient way to file things so far.

Ah, s'fine.
That's certainly a thought. ^^ I might take you up on that! Any personal complaints about your physicality you want to pipe up with?
I have little piles for storyboards, in-progress art, comics, animation, backgrounds, random pieces that I like, and portfolio stuff; then a milk crate in my closet into which all the outdated stuff that I've already scanned just goes.
LMK if this works for you, but I've organized my projects in projected chronological order, and all the components chronologically inside. This way, all the storyboards for all my animation projects can fit into one big-ass pile, with no filing needed.
