it was the national day here today. when I'm back home im usually pretty busy on this day since Ive grown up with school bands and stuff and they always play a lot. but now for the first time I was here by myself with nothing to do. I thought i would be spending it alone (I was also such a dork that I forgot I would be busy the entire day before so I didn't get to buy in ice cream (grocery stores close on this spesific day). and all-you-can-eat ice cream is very tradition..... so I was kind of sulking about my aloneness + icecreamlessness

but then some people I know wanted to do something. so I went with them... and then I was able find some ice cream after all, then eating dinner out, and watching the parades here. we had sunshine and nice weather. I can't complain about this day.
