I finally drew Elsa!
I always thought I'd draw Anna first because I love her, but I had an idea for a drawing and it just fit Elsa perfectly so yeah. This happened.

I like the original way you drew her - different clothes than the (almost cliche) ice dress, a symbolic crown and sad, downbeat expression.. I like it

You're right, most people draw her in the ice dress! I prefer her coronation dress though, that's why it had more influence on this drawing.

I think it's a good idea to vary her clothing more, it's pretty rare to see her in original, but lore friendly clothing. It seems everyone and their dog is drawing her posing in the ice dress these days (usually with some reference to "let it go") and even if they do good, you just get tired of seeing the same thing again and again

I couldn't agree more! I think people usually draw her shortly after they've finished watching the movie and Let it Go is just the thing that first comes to mind and that scene left the biggest impression. I'm assuming that's the reason why she's drawn in that way most of the time, besides people simply adoring her ice dress.
