j/k This was that little surprise I was talking about, and boy did it take forever with that metal! I honestly think your markerwork on the armour is a lot better than I could ever hope to achieve.

I think the coloring came out really well for this powerful lookin linework! I like the dramatic up lighting you used and the armor doesn't look bad at all! I think the shading could be darker in some areas to intensify the lighting. The way it was explained to me many many years ago was to think of how a shadow is always darkest as it gets away from the light, but to also take into consideration the parts of the body, clothing, etc that would block off areas from the light source. So underneath the armor skirt, on the hip we can see the most of, maybe there should be some darker shading toward the upper-right. Anyway, I still think it looks great and you're coming along nicely with your coloring!

I preferred the simpler "anime" colouring of things not being too dark, and didn't want to get overly complicated with the shadowing on different body parts. Thanks for the suggestions, though, and maybe I'll try that on another piece if I have the patience. xD
