I do a lot of fan art, now that I think of it... XP

This is just a portrait of Mikey Way that started off as a case study, but ended up turning into a full on portrait.

It was those eyes I tell you....

There is a bit of a defect in the picture, as when you take a picture of a picture with your phone, it sometimes likes to reflect the pencil back at you, so there is a fuzzy shine over the right eye that is a little weird...

Well, I suppose it'd be his left eye...

Anywho, I was drawing this in Algebra II, and Amanda, who sat in front of me, turned around and watched for a bit.

"Your shading on the ear needs to be darker..." she told me.

I was surprised. Usually all people say, (AND WE'VE ALL GOTTEN THIS.) Is "Wow, you're so good..." or "I wish I could draw like that..." which of course I deeply appreciate, but when I'm stumped on a drawing, I don't need to hear that. I need to hear that my ear isn't shaded right.

She told me she couldn't draw either, but she had a knack for telling me exactly what was up, and she wasn't going to let up until it was spot on, save my feelings it was not.

But, she in every way contributed to making this drawing the best it could be, and so, as she told me it was finished and I signed my name to it, I had her stamp her signature on the front because she deserved it.

I ended up giving a photocopy of the picture to Marley and Sabrina who are also fascinated by Mikey Way's eyes. I hope they liked it.

In fact, this very picture got me my first commission that I'll be finishing and posting with the permission of the commissioner.

So, thanks Amanda. You really helped me out.
