Description ...on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars above,
For a moment all the world was right.
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye?

And now, I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end, the way it all would go.
Our lives are better left to chance.
I could have missed the pain,
But I'd of had to miss the dance.

EDIT: Re-worked the whole thing to make it a bit brighter (as per s suggestion...see comments). Straight from file, the original still looks better on my PC, but even the re-worked item got darkened when it posted here. I don't know why that happens.

Seeing that couple in stock was a lovely find, indeed. They tripped a couple of memories for me, too. I can't dance anymore (extremely bad knees), not that I was very good when I could, but do remember dancing under the stars with a very special lady. And, like the song, it didn't last, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

I am happy you like it, Cindy.

Yeah, it does look much darker here on dA than straight from the file on my desktop. Even the download size is darker. I've noticed that has happened before. I wonder what causes that? Ah, me, I will see what I can do.

Thank you for the heads-up and the suggestion. I don't often get constructive advice, and I crave it, 'cause I want to get better. Maybe folks are a little gun-shy from bad experiences with other folk?

Hello, hon. You might want to take a look at lightening this up as the couple is barely visible.

This is much better, Colt! It's usually your screen brightness that causes the problem. If yours is set much brighter than the average then when it's uploaded it can appear much darker then when you were creating it.

Hmmmm...maybe it's the fact that my screen is one of those wide-screen flat jobs. Anyway, the original from file is still brighter than the way this one appears from here. And, it seems fine while viewing other folks works here. Maybe the fact that I view it from file using the Windows Pictures viewer, after saving the finished works.

Either way, it does show lighter than before, and that is what matters.

Thanks, again, for the CC, dear friend.
