I thought it was a photograph, possibly of some architectural detail or the edge of a swiiming pool. I liked it even more when I saw that it was a painting.

wonderful texture & color contrast. your paintings are just lovely. they remind me of rauschenberg & rothko [two of my favorite artists]

I'm not sure if I would be able to write a decent critique of your photograph, not to mention that I haven't been on dA for over two years and have no idea how that application really works. So instead, if you don't mind, I'll simply write a short comment about this piece.
Honestly, your color pallet is just WOW! I'm not sure what the subject actually is, but sometimes that's not the focus of a piece. The colors itself seem to be the subject in my mind. You did a great job to capture the complimentary colors (the orange and the blue), and allow them to push for attention.
The green "drips" add a nice texture to the orange section. Overally, for me, this is a highly aesthetically pleasing photograph. I've always been a sucker for color...
And one more thing I wanted to point out was that I enjoy that the three separate sections are not of equal size or evenly spaced. You have a nice composition going.
