Are the shells real shells that you put clay snails in, or are the snails clay as well?
They're adorable. Odd, charming, the kind of thing that would start a mad collecting frenzy.

The shell is real. I attach an armature inside the shell with apoxie sculpt and then I sculpt the rest with polymer clay. I make the eyes with resin.
