never cared for this style of El Camino they looked to much looks to much like the ugly ass Ford Ranchero

I prefer the 63' and later years of the El Camino really like the early 70's models that had basically a Chevelle SS front end and that year did have an option for the big 396 or massive 454 engines so you had a vehicle that had the hauling ability of a truck and the power to run down a mustang while loaded down with half your house HAHA! LOL

they made a new El Camino but you can only buy it in Australia and its not bad looking either I drive it

Love the car but those wheels are just wrong... I think anything above an 18" wheel just doesn't work on these classics, but then that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. Great capture in any case

Since the 1959 Chevrolet El Camino came standard with 14x5 wheels, I don't consider 18" wheels "small." I also find that, unless it's a slick, any wheel that doesn't fit inside the front fender well (like in this example) to be somewhat gauche, bordering on Bosozoku-style. While I love the '59 El Camino, I'm not sure "classy" is an adjective I'd use for this one! Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
