My Dad built a '50 with monster of of 327 cid back in the early 70's (I was only acouple of years old) and used it for his tow vechicle, well he was running late for a late model race in Tucson and got pulled over about five miles from the track for doing 135 mph, that was pulling a trailer with race car and a bed full of equipment, well the partolman figured out what has goin' on and he was a racer also, so he gave him a warning "if I ever see this truck running over 60 mph through here, your goin' to jail." he showed me the ticket the officer filled out with the actual speed but wasn't issued, that was back when I 15 or 16. I'll have to find a pic of the truck and post it, he painted it Fire Engine Red.

Borgwards!!! I love Borgwards!
There were a lot of european cars here in Canada in the 30's 40's and 50's, but not in the USA, so they missed out big time!

We had more in New England/New York area than the rest of the US. There was actually a Lloyd dealer in my hometown!
