My Dad built a '50 with monster of of 327 cid back in the early 70's (I was only acouple of years old) and used it for his tow vechicle, well he was running late for a late model race in Tucson and got pulled over about five miles from the track for doing 135 mph, that was pulling a trailer with race car and a bed full of equipment, well the partolman figured out what has goin' on and he was a racer also, so he gave him a warning "if I ever see this truck running over 60 mph through here, your goin' to jail." he showed me the ticket the officer filled out with the actual speed but wasn't issued, that was back when I 15 or 16. I'll have to find a pic of the truck and post it, he painted it Fire Engine Red.

"Poor" is obviously the description of the owner's finances after doing it up so nice!
There was a '51 for sale 'round here this week - no motor or tranny, rusty and rough: $1,000!

I found a 54 GMC short box 1/2 ton at a local scrap yard, $100 and it's mine, no box, no rust, might even run still, think i should go for t? I have too many as it is so I cannot decide, I would likely build it and sell it.

At least your stuff is in half-way decent shape: everything here should go to the scrapper except maybe the 4Runner, and some days I'm not so sure about that - like when it shifts itself into neutral in the middle of the highway.
